MAN RESCUED FROM DROWNING OFF THE COAST OF ADEJE
Adeje, Tenerife - A 21-year-old man has been rescued from the sea showing moderate signs of drowning off the coast of Adeje. The incident occurred earlier this afternoon when an alert was received by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government, requesting urgent medical assistance.

CECOES 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to respond to the situation. A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Canary Islands Government quickly arrived at the scene and successfully rescued the young man. The helicopter then transported the individual to the Adeje helipad.

At the helipad, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) took over the medical care of the young man and transferred him to the University Hospital Hospiten Sur for specialized treatment.

Firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium and police resources collaborated in the operation, providing logistical support and securing the area.

Thanks to the swift intervention of the emergency services, the young man was successfully rescued and is expected to receive the necessary treatment for his recovery. Authorities remind the public of the importance of taking extreme precautions while enjoying water activities and adhering to safety recommendations.
