MOTORCYCLIST INJURED IN MODERATE CONDITION AFTER OFF-ROAD INCIDENT IN FUERTEVENTURA
Pájara, July 30, 2024 - A 62-year-old British motorcyclist was injured in moderate condition following an accident today on the FV-30 road, near PK 10, heading towards Betancuria in the municipality of Pájara. The incident occurred at 15:09 hours.
According to initial assessment from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), the motorcyclist sustained thoracic trauma and multiple contusions. The injured man was assisted on-site by a basic life support ambulance from the SUC and subsequently transported to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura for further medical treatment.
The Emergency Coordination Center and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received the alert and immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. In addition to the emergency services, the Civil Guard was involved and is responsible for conducting the accident report.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the causes of the accident.
